Other Local Corvallis Opportunities:

  1. AVI-BioPharma, Inc., a BioTech company in Corvallis, will be hiring a few good interns to work on a development project in their oligomer synthesis group.  Hours are flexible but they would like interns to work 10 -15 hrs/week during the school year and full time during the term breaks.  Please contact Dr. Pastorek, Christine.Pastorek@orst.edu  if you are interested.

  2. OSU-URISC, Research Office Sponsored Undergraduate Research Awards are made to support scholarly, creative, and research activities. Awards can be used for the student's research expenses. Examples of acceptable expenses include travel costs to field sites or meetings, library costs (i.e. duplication, acquisition of reference materials), or expendable materials and supplies.  The DEADLINE for receipt of applications for summer support is due in the Research Office (A312 Kerr Admin) usually in  February. This is a great opportunity to find out what research is all about, work with research faculty and earn $$.  See the URISC web page for application form and more information: http://osu.orst.edu/research/URISC/URISC.html

  3. OSU International Undergraduate Research Program - see the IURP program at  http://osu.orst.edu/international/oie/iurp.htm for details. For more information on Study Abroad, see http://osu.orst.edu/international/oie/study_abroad/frame.htm
