Withdrawing from a Course
AR 12. Withdrawal From Individual Courses
Students may withdraw from a course with a W grade after the tenth day of classes and through the end of the seventh week of classes. After the seventh week of classes, students are expected to complete the program attempted and will receive letter grades (A, B, C, D, F, I, S, U, P, N) for all courses in which enrolled unless they officially withdraw from the university. Procedures for withdrawal from individual courses are outlined in the term Schedule of Classes.
How to withdrawal from a course
On the OSU Web registration system, Course Withdrawals are done on the “Register/Add/Drop Classes” page. Course Withdrawals can also be done through the Telephone Registration System by calling 737-CLAS.
Course drops processed after the end of registration, Friday of the second week of classes, are considered course withdrawals and result in W grades. Course Withdrawals are considered changes to a registration, and as such will be assessed the $10.00 Change of Registration fee as specified under “Late Registration, Change of Registration Fees.”
